It’s been a few weeks since I posted anything as I’ve been on a brief hiatus caused by me getting into some card gaming with some friends, but the painting itch has been strong and I was excited to get back to finishing models!

This week I painted up these clone troopers for Star Wars Legion, to add to my 501st Legion Clones. As you may have noticed, these have yellow* markings rather than blue, to mark them as part of the 7th Sky Corps, Obi Wan Kenobi’s troops. I wanted to do this because I plan on fielding Kenobi in addition to Anakin Skywalker in the army, and I fancied them having a squad each from their respective commands.
* Interestingly, the wiki article says the markings should be orange, but they always looked yellow in the tv show to me, probably a trick of the lighting!

These were painted in exactly the same way as the first batch of clones, and I kept the marking positions the same on both, just changing the colour.
These were nice and quick to paint, a good project to get back in the painting flow!
Nicely done, Nicolas! 🙂 I’m a big fan of anything Star Wars (OK, maybe not Jar Jar Binks)!

Thanks John! You’ll be glad to hear there’s plenty more where these came from then!

Its a little bit cheeky to tell us you’ve been busy playing a card game but not share what it is! 😉 I was looking forward to seeing pictures of these Clone Troopers after seeing them on Instagram so that I can see the details better and these were worth the wait! The weathering looks spot-on to me and the troopers looked like they’ve seen combat on a planet or two.
Also, I’m not sure that I agree with John and I’m looking forward to the day when you do paint Jar-Jar! 😀 Bonus points if you write that entire post in Jar-Jar’s voice too haha!

Thanks a lot! For Jar Jar John is safe until Atomic Mass Games release a miniature for him, after that we’ll see!
As for card game it’s actually two! I’ve been playing some Magic the Gathering with friends and another Richard Garfield straight out of the 90s: Vampire: The Eternal Struggle which is a really fun multiplayer TCG. Neither is new to me but we’ve been in the mood lately and playing a bunch of games of both online and in person.

I think General Jar-Jar pretty much won the Battle of Naboo himself so I’ll be miffed if he doesn’t get one sooner than later! 😀
Magic is fun and I had some VTES cards not too long ago as well. It seems like a great game to play with a group of friends. I think the entire Vampire “universe” or setting or whatever the right word for it is, is really cool and interesting so I love seeing the artwork in VTES alone!

Yeah it’s a great universe, I recently replayed Vampire bloodlines the video game and am fully hooked on the setting haha.

Bloodlines was my introduction to the setting too and it is a real classic! It is one of my all-time favorite games to this day 🙂
